Get ready on site

We will complete the digging on the public footpath / highway but our quotation excludes any digging on your property. You need to appoint a builder to do this for you – we can in some circumstances quote to do this for you.

You will need to purchase and install ducting for the cable and suitable meter housing. We can supply this for you at trade cost to make the planning a little easier.

We do not install electricity meters; your new meter will be installed by the supplier of your choice. We recommend viewing energychoices.co.uk to help you decide who to choose before contacting them to install your meter. Before your meter is fitted, you will need to hire an electrician to connect your internal wiring.

There can be charges incurred from the local authority in order to dig on the public highway or to maintain appropriate traffic management when completing work. We will let you know if you are impacted in your quote.

If we need to cross third party land to complete your connection we will need to apply for legal consents before we can complete your connection. Your dedicated planner will advise you if you are affected.

Now your site is ready, you can accept our quotation and pay by either BACs or cheque.

Agree dates

Following acceptance and payment we will work with you to get your site ready, confirm a start and end date and advise when you should have your meter fitted. Please note you will need to arrange this with your electricity supplier.

You will need an MPAN number to arrange a meter and we will provide this following acceptance. To provide you MPAN number we require a valid postal address.

Please do not accept your project until six weeks before work is required, unless exceptions apply e.g. if legal consents are required or we need to close the road to carry out the work. If these exceptions apply to you, your dedicated planner will advise you at the quotation stage.
