Data portal
Welcome to Electricity North West's data portal
We understand the importance of data and its role in shaping the future of our network. Here we share a wealth of data sets relating to network, connections, forecasting and operational data to help support our customers and stakeholders in making informed decisions when interacting with the electricity distribution network.
With our commitment to transparency, we have now launched an external platform which is hosted by OpenDataSoft. The platform allows visitors to overlay Electricity North West’s data, provides choices in how the data can be viewed and format options should you wish to export our data, as well as the option to have the data consumed via an API. We launched the platform with our Embedded Capacity Register data and are in the process of expanding the data available here.
Network data
Within network data, you can access our Network Asset Viewer to search for assets on our electricity distribution network. View our Long-Term Development Statement (LTDS) and Network Development Plan (NDP) which contains network information
Connections data
Before making a connection application, look at our heat map tool for information about the available capacity on our network or view our embedded capacity register for information on connected resources and network services.
Forecasting data
View our distribution future energy scenarios (DEFS) to learn more about our view of the North West's future electricity requirements.
Operational data
Keep up to date with operational information on our network. View our GPS boundary flow and outage data here.

Description |
Our network development plan (NDP) is an important source of information on the future network as it shows where on our network new connections are suitable and where flexibility services may be advantageous. It also provides information on how we intend to create capacity over the next ten years. |
